Under the ‘Zero Tolerance’ policy of the Yogi government, in the last eight and a half years, Uttar Pradesh Police has killed 256 hardened criminals in 15,726 encounters. Due to these actions the criminals have been forced to leave the state. CM Yogi’s Mission Shakti 5.0 is also intensifying strict action against criminals.
Yogi government’s police have killed 256 hardened criminals in encounters in the last eight and a half years. This swift action has been taken in the entire Uttar Pradesh in the last eight and a half years. This action has been taken under the zero tolerance policy towards crime and criminals. The police achieved this major success by carrying out 15,726 encounters. During this period, 31,960 criminals were arrested and 10,324 criminals were injured.
in the encounter Meerut zone at the forefront
Meerut zone ranks first in the entire state in killing criminals. There were 4,453 encounters in this zone, in which 85 notorious criminals were killed. Here 8,312 criminals were caught and 3,131 criminals were injured.
While fighting the criminals, 461 policemen were injured and two were martyred in Meerut zone. This figure shows that Meerut zone has shown the most strictness in taking action against criminals.
Varanasi and Agra Zone is also not behind
in action of encounter Varanasi Zone stood second and Agra Zone stood third. In Varanasi zone, 27 criminals were killed in 1,108 encounters, while 2,128 criminals were arrested. There were 2,374 encounters in Agra zone and 22 criminals were killed, and 5,631 criminals were arrested. Police action in these three zones has forced the criminals to leave the state.
Ghaziabad tops in commissionerate
Apart from the zones, in the statistics of Commissionerate, Ghaziabad Commissionerate secured the first position by killing the maximum number of 13 criminals. Apart from this, 17 criminals were killed in Lucknow zone, 17 in Bareilly zone and 10 in Prayagraj zone.
18 policemen were martyred and 1,754 were injured across Uttar Pradesh while fighting criminals. Even in the last twenty days, more than a dozen encounters have taken place. Police say that this action against criminals will continue in future also.
