Shopkeeper became violent after dispute
According to police sources, the deceased Rahul Yadav and his friend Chandan Vishwakarma had come to Rahul’s maternal grandfather’s house in Bhausinghpur village. On Tuesday evening, both of them went to a liquor shop located near a liquor shop near Amethi-Kalikhan Khurdia turn. The shop is run by Ashok Kumar Kashyap. There was an altercation between the shopkeeper and Rahul regarding roasting of lye, which soon turned into a big fight.
Deadly attack with a shovel
The dispute escalated so much that shopkeeper Ashok Kumar Kashyap lost his temper and allegedly attacked both the customers with a sharp shovel used for frying lye. In this attack, Rahul Yadav died on the spot, while his friend Chandan Vishwakarma also got injured. Both were taken to Sangrampur Community Health Centre, where doctors declared Rahul dead.
Police is searching for the accused
On receiving information about the incident, Amethi SP Aparna Rajat Kaushik visited the spot. SP said that Rahul’s body has been sent for post-mortem and investigation into the case is going on. Police teams have been deployed to arrest the accused shopkeeper. The SP also said that at present the situation in the area is normal.
