On October 2, while weeding the paddy crop, Veerpal had seen Anshu and Sunita together and abused them. After this, both of them together decided to remove Veerpal from the way. On the night of 13 October, when Veerpal went to the fields at night, Anshu reached there at Sunita’s behest and strangled him to death.

Anshu told the police that they met during the transplantation of paddy, after which an affair took place. Sunita used to tell her lover that you are not married yet, I will live with you for the rest of my life, but this will happen only when my husband stays out of the way. After this Anshu committed the murder.

The police revealed the incident on the basis of mobile call records of both and the statements of local witnesses. During interrogation, both of them have confessed to the crime. The police have registered a case of murder against Sunita and Anshu and sent them to jail. The upbringing of deceased Veerpal’s five young children is now in the hands of his elderly mother.
