Hamas on Tuesday handed over the bodies of four dead Israeli hostages to Israeli authorities. This action came at a time when Israel had warned of reducing humanitarian aid to Gaza and US President Donald Trump had warned that if Hamas did not give up its weapons, violence could erupt.

The International Red Cross has confirmed that four bodies handed over on Tuesday IsraelHave been received to hand over to the authorities. Earlier on Monday, Hamas had returned four other bodies, while several hostages are still missing.

Israel has currently postponed plans to open a humanitarian aid route across the southern border with Egypt, accusing Hamas of violating the ceasefire. Israeli officials said that due to Hamas’ stance Gaza Relief operations are being hampered.

The Gaza region still suffers from severe hunger, destroyed infrastructure and limited humanitarian access. Following the partial withdrawal of Israeli forces last week, Hamas has re-established control over the cities.
