We have been assuming it would not make any type of official comeback, however when requested about this yesterday on social media, Xbox’s VP of next-generation Jason Ronald really responded to the query and supplied a cryptic tease.
Whereas he did not spell out that the FPS Increase characteristic will certainly return, he did verify that the group is “cooking on quite a lot of issues” proper now, and that we’ll hear extra about them earlier than the tip of 2026.
We have clearly solely received three months left within the 12 months now, so any type of new characteristic bulletins will seemingly align with the Xbox 25th anniversary in mid-November, or maybe they will simply be pushed out as a part of numerous Insider updates like we have seen with Disc to Digital and Mythic achievements in current weeks.
In any case, it feels like there’s at the least some type of work happening within the background to enhance how video games carry out on our Xbox units, however we’ll have to attend just a bit bit longer to see what Ronald is definitely referring to right here.
No matter occurs, it is nice to know that the brand new Xbox options aren’t completed solely for 2026 but!
