My youngsters began faculty at this time. Summer season is formally lifeless. Lengthy dwell the autumn online game launch pile-up. That season is formally underway with each Capcom’s Onimusha: Way of the Sword and Insurgent Wolves’ grim action-RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker. However there are two area of interest indie video games that caught my eye this week as effectively, and I’m not speaking concerning the attractive anime co-op game Orbitals for Swap 2.
First there’s Isle of Reveries, a really The Legend of Zelda: Hyperlink’s Awakening-style top-down action-adventure. The metroidvania options eight completely different overworld biomes and 7 completely different dungeons, every containing distinctive puzzles and gadgets. It may not measure as much as the standard of Yacht Club’s Mina The Hollower, however it seems to be very neat.
Then there’s Aegis Force: The Scorian War, a conventional-sounding tactical RPG with a really unconventional 2.5D HD-2D artwork model. It’s impressed by issues like Shining Drive II and Fireplace Emblem, and has you navigate a fantasy world the place tech and magic are at battle with each other. Once more, I’ve no sense if it will possibly measure up, however as a sicko for the style and aesthetic, I’m positively intrigued.
