A brand new patch for Modern Warfare 4 has gamers up in arms as a result of it prevents you from getting a tactical nuke Killstreak in Free-for-All, one of many Multiplayer modes.
“We have made two changes to Free-for-All in #MW4,” developer Infinity Ward introduced in a tweet, which included affirmation of a rating discount and a celebration dimension change. Now, you possibly can solely enter Free-For-All matches with one pal in your social gathering. On prime of that, the rating required to win a Free-For-All match has been diminished to 25 kills. It was beforehand 30 kills.
Gamers are upset as a result of this modification locks them out of 100% finishing the sport. A Calling Card known as Floor Zero requires gamers to earn a tactical nuke in a Free-For-All match, however the brand new rating cap prevents this from being potential, since you’ll want to earn 30 consecutive kills with out dying to get a nuke.
There’s no phrase on whether or not Activision and Infinity Ward plan to cut back the requirement for a nuke in Free-For-All or change the Calling Card to one thing that’s, you realize, potential.
These modifications come to the sport after an uptick in account boosting in Free-For-All. Gamers who wished to earn the Floor Zero Calling Card had been coming in with three pals and farming one another to earn the nuke, primarily ruining the sport for everybody else.
Clearly, these modifications ought to put an finish to that, however it’s annoying for gamers who wished to play Free-For-All legitimately with their pals, or earn the Calling Card the proper means. “One of many calling playing cards is actually 30kills in a FFA match lmao mind useless,” said one player. “Can we not hold altering stuff? FFA has at all times been 30 kills why change it now?” asked another.
Sentiment is nearly totally damaging within the replies to the announcement so it received’t be an enormous shock if Infinity Ward reverses the choice or not less than tweaks it indirectly. This information landed simply after Shipment, one of Call of Duty’s most iconic maps, was added to Modern Warfare 4.
