French writer Focus Leisure has partnered with Maverick Video games to launch its debut racing title, Clutch.
Maverick initially partnered with Amazon Game Studios for the then-unannounced recreation in 2024. Amazon ended the agreement earlier this year to “give attention to tasks that leverage Amazon’s distinctive strengths and scale.”
Maverick co-founder and COO Harinder Sangha informed GamesIndustry.biz that the studio was in “energetic dialogue with companions who share our long-term ambition for the IP and look ahead to sharing extra later this 12 months.”
Focus Leisure said that publishing Clutch will “strengthen [its] portfolio with its first entry into the open-world racing house, pushed by a shared ambition to ship a standout expertise and set up Clutch as a serious new racing IP.”
Clutch is about to launch in Spring 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Sequence X|S, and PC.

Former Playground Video games builders founded Maverick Games in 2023. Brown beforehand served as artistic director on the Forza Horizon sequence.
