Wizards of the Coast teased a KPop Demon Hunters Secret Lair drop set, for Magic: The Gathering, as a part of their Corn Maze Superdrop.
On September 29, 2026, WotC posted a cryptic advert for the Corn Maze Superdrop that featured photos of a Corn Maze with numerous clues hidden amongst the corn stalks. The clues included a magpie with a hat, a clock with 13 hours, a hand holding crystal balls, and a few pumpkins with faces on them. If the viewer ignored the content material of the picture virtually fully and regarded on the backside textual content of the photographs, there was textual content acknowledging that the Marvel, KPop Demon Hunters, and The Jim Henson Firm/Labyrinth Enterprises emblems and copyrights have been used with permissions as a part of this teaser picture.
This, naturally, signifies that the brand new drop units will doubtless have one thing to do with the aforementioned IPs. Within the Q3 earnings report of 2025, Hasbro CEO Chris Cocks confirmed that there can be a KPop Demon Hunters Secret Lair set coming in 2026 (see “‘Magic: The Gathering’ Growth“). Because the yr is brief on months to launch new merchandise, that is in all probability the Secret Lair drop set that Cocks was referring to again then.
As for the Labyrinth and Marvel teasers, Labyrinth has been across the block and again once more as a video games license, most just lately as a board sport (see “Mantic and River Horse“). It’s unsurprising that this IP would present up on TCG playing cards as a one-off launch. Nevertheless, it’s stunning that WotC would license Labyrinth from The Jim Henson Firm for Magic, and never someway bundle in The Darkish Crystal license as properly, one other IP that might inherently lend itself to a fantasy setting.
WotC might do various various things for Halloween with the Marvel license. The obvious, based mostly on the pumpkins sitting within the corn maze photos, is to only launch some type of cool Hobgoblin-themed drop set. They may additionally do a Marvel Zombies drop set or do Ghost Rider, Werewolf By Evening or Midnight Sons drop units (all of that are Halloween-themed). A brand new Ghost Rider film is slated to reach in 2028 (see “Best in Shows — 2028“).
