Fireside and Hamlet writer Runic Forge has rebranded as Pythia Video games.
Rune, the UK-based “data-driven indie advertising company,” is now shifting to work “completely as a writer.”
The transfer follows the launch of Phorust Studios’ cozy incremental metropolis builder Fireside and Hamlet, Rune’s first main launch as a writer. The sport launched on Steam on August 19 and bought almost 50,000 items in its first 24 hours, rising to 100,000 in its first week. It has since handed 1,800 Steam opinions.
Earlier than launch, greater than 100,000 distinctive gamers performed the sport’s free demo, and its wishlists handed 125,000.
Pythia’s first wave of latest titles consists of Carnholt, a roguelike deckbuilder from Magic: The Gathering artist Maxime Minard, and Dragon’s Tear, an idle dungeon-crawler RPG impressed by traditional JRPGs from developer LilChill Video games.
The writer can also be trying to companion with extra indie builders.
“After years of expertise in company work, everybody right here at Pythia Video games is delighted to be beginning this new chapter as a writer,” stated Aidan McGrath, founder and advertising director at Pythia Video games.
“The crew is united by a shared ardour for locating and elevating new and modern indie video games, and for supporting small groups and solo builders alike.”
