Whether or not it is primarily based on a real-life instance of ethically doubtful experimentation or a fictionalized account of Earth’s inevitable demise by the hands of unchecked capitalism, actuality TV is following MrBeast’s torture- people- for- cash playbook. And if they will tie it to a well-liked pre-existing franchise, it is all the higher. On the heels of Netflix’s Squid Recreation: The Problem and the lately launched New Stanford Prison Experiment, Prime Video is launching Fallout Shelter: The Experiment. Utilizing the branding from Prime’s well-liked adaptation of the Fallout video video games, a sci-fi motion collection in regards to the unfortunate survivors of the top of the world, the brand new collection challenges contestants to outlive post-apocalyptic challenges for an opportunity to win $1 million.
Set inside Vault-Tec’s state-of-the-art bomb-proof vault shelters, Fallout Shelter challenges contestants to outlive “high-octane drills, psychological dilemmas and morally difficult conduct trials.” It sounds loads like Netflix’s Squid Recreation: The Problem or its Prime Video, MrBeast-hosted equal, Beast Video games. The primary season of Beast Video games, which lately acknowledged the IATSE union, faced a damning lawsuit from contestants who alleged sexual harassment, lack of meals and medical care, unpaid wages, and emotional misery. Fortunately, Vault Boy has some excellent attorneys on retainer.
Fallout Shelter: The Experiment‘s first 10-episode season premieres with 4 episodes on January 13. Prime will launch three episodes weekly via January 27, 2027.
