British studio and Reign franchise proprietor Nerial has revealed it’s getting into “hibernation mode” and ending improvement after 13 years.
The studio took to X (formerly Twitter) with a message from co-founders François and Tamara Alliot, saying they’d made the choice along with companions at Devolver to finish improvement on the studio.
The transfer will see the Nerial crew search new alternatives.
“Nerial is getting into hibernation mode,” the founders wrote. “After 13 years and 11 printed video games, we’ve determined along with our companions at Devolver to finish improvement on the studio.”

The founders described Nerial’s 13-year run as “an unbelievable journey”, recalling the launch of Reigns in 2016 and its later variations of Recreation of Thrones, Animal Farm, Three Kingdoms and The Witcher.
In addition they praised Card Shark and its fan group, whereas calling The Crush Home the studio’s “most bold challenge” and saying they continue to be “immensely proud” of it.
Nerial was acquired by Devolver in 2021. The founders thanked Devolver and the various different collaborators concerned within the studio’s initiatives, together with its licensed Reigns titles.
