Writer Clear River Video games introduced on Sunday that it’s releasing Taito‘s Lufia 1 and a pair of The Sinistrals Saga, a group of the SNES video games Lufia & the Fortress of Doom and Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals, on Nintendo Swap 2, Nintendo Swap, PlayStation 5, and PC by way of Steam in 2027. The prequel tells the story of Maxim—a younger man who would later be hailed as a hero of legend—and his companions and their battle in opposition to future.
The unique Lufia & the Fortress of Doom (Estpolis Denki on Tremendous Famicom in Japan) debuted for Tremendous Nintendo in 1993. The prequel Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals (Estpolis Denki II) launched on Tremendous Famicom in 1995 and SNES in 1996. The prequel had a remake Lufia: Curse of the Sinistrals (Estpolis: The lands cursed by the Gods) for Nintendo DS, which shipped in 2010.
