Cyber ​​DSP Avantika Dilip Kumar said that on the basis of secret information on October 17 Gopalganj A raid was conducted on a house from where Rs 1 crore 5 lakh 49 thousand 850 in cash, 344 grams of gold and 1.75 kg of silver were seized. 85 ATM cards, 75 bank passbooks, 28 checkbooks, two laptops, three mobile phones and a luxury car were also recovered from the accused. In this action, two real brothers, Abhishek Kumar and Aditya Kumar have been arrested.

The police officer said that accused Abhishek Kumar earlier used to run a tea shop. Later he went to Dubai, from where he started operating this cyber fraud network. His brother Aditya Kumar, living in the village, used to support him in this illegal activity.

Used to ask for fraudulent money in many accounts

Initial investigation has revealed that this gang used to ask for money in various bank accounts through cyber fraud and then make transactions in cash. Police suspect that many other people may be involved in this network and this network extends outside the state.

Most of the passbooks are from Bengaluru

Police said that after examining the ATM cards and passbooks recovered in the raid, most of the passbooks were found to be from Bengaluru, after which the police and cyber cell team has started investigating the entire matter. Police are also investigating whether the use of these accounts was connected to the national level cyber network.

Income Tax and ATS team interrogated

At the same time, after finding such a large amount of cash, jewelery and items related to cyber fraud, the Income Tax Department and ATS teams have also reached Gopalganj and are interrogating the arrested accused.
